The “J” Brothers..

Had the pleasure today of making some quick portraits of some friends’ children. Four boys in one house.. We had some fun playing in a leaf pile and tried to encourage the youngest to participate.. As the ranking 17 month old, however — he had other plans…  Still, I think their parents will be pleased with the outcome of this super-quick session..

Thanks for Looking,

Staring at a blank page.. Or screen, actually..

How do you write/create a BOOK?  I’ve committed myself to this book about Winona Family Camp.. And I’m glad I did.. I work well, when painted into a corner of ‘no choice.’ It’s like giving away all your ‘fat’ clothes.. You got no choice but to eat right and exercise.. Or you’ll pay double.. In my case, I’ve told all of you about the book.. So if I don’t produce.. Well.. That’s kinda lame.. And very telling of my potential in the business..

But that still doesn’t mean I know what to do first.. Or last.. Or in the middle, for that matter.. I have learned, since clearing old work, new kindergarten, some home improvement, and hosting a kid’s Halloween party — that I have far more to do on this project than even I anticipated.. And I anticipated a lot of work.. Until recently, I was unsure of how I wanted to arrange the book.. I didn’t just want it to be a fancy scrapbook of photographs..But I think I now have an idea of how to do that..

I won’t make my initial goal of a ‘for sale’ date in time for the holidays.. But I’d rather do this to my satisfaction, anyway.  Winona means far too much to me, to sand-bag the gig..

I continue to unearth more and more photographs I’ve made there since my first year, back in 1998.  Here represents some of my digital archaeology up to this point.. So much more to find and organize.. This could take a while..

Thanks for looking….
